How it all started
Chin & Associates is a boutique licensed real estate agency and property development firm founded by Managing Director Ernie Chin in 1971. With over 40 years of real estate experience, Chin & Associates offers all real estate agency and advisory services to clients in all fields of real estate.
Seth Chin is a highly experienced real estate agent and developer with contacts and experience working in Queensland, Hong Kong, London, Indonesia and the Northern Territory.

In 2014 Seth returned to Darwin after working for the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm CBRE for four years. It was during this time he developed contacts in the international property market. Prior to this, Seth worked for international property fund IP Global in Hong Kong and specialized in real estate investment throughout Europe and the U.S. Seth worked as an investment manager with IP Global with a mandate on acquisitions in Europe.
Since returning to Darwin, Seth’s work has included commercial, residential and industrial markets and he was also involved in establishing a sales team for an Australian developer building a boutique luxury resort in Indonesia.
Managing Director Ernie Chin is a highly experienced developer with a long and successful track record involving numerous high quality projects throughout the Darwin area.
These developments span across a wide and diverse spectrum including residential, commercial, apartment projects, land subdivisions and marinas. Historical accounts place Ernie as the visionary behind the prestigious Cullen Bay marina and residential developments as well as Mandorah and Marrakai.

In recent years Chin & Associates have been increasingly focusing on land sub-divisions and industrial developments within Darwin and the rural areas.
